It seems that I did not scare away Potential Boyfriend Number, whatever number he was, One!, the guy who couldn’t do a handstand. (See Scaring Men by Being too Good: What Does Dr Phil Have to Say?)
He showed up at yoga this morning and afterward started a conversation!
Actually I guess I started the conversation, but I didn’t know it when I did it.
I zoomed up to the gym (yes, yoga at the gym) on my bike, but the slot where I always park was being taken and the bike rack already had a bunch of bikes in it—unusual for 6:50 in the morning (yes, yoga class is at 7am). Dan, a regular, was locking his bike to a pole, as usual (he doesn’t like the bike rack), and I said to him something like “Where did all these bikes come from?” Dan said I needed a new plan and we joked.
It turned out that the person taking my spot was none other than Potential Boyfriend Number One! I knew when he finished locking his bike and stood up.
I bet he thought I knew who it was all along! He probably thought I was flirting.
