Where Juno and Beverly were inquisitive and rebellious in losing their virginity, Stella (played by Georgiana Cates) in An Awfully Big Adventure (the movie 1995) is direct and purposeful.

Girls Coming of Age: Two Teen Pregnancies and Two Different Stories, Juno and Riding in Cars with Boys
April 14th, 2008 · No Comments
Juno is a thoroughly delightful coming-of-age story about a smart and quirky teen, Juno played by Ellen Page, who seduces her geeky boyfriend and gets pregnant in that quintessentially innocent first fumbling experiment with sex. Last night I watched The Hours, a movie based on Michael Cunningham’s 2000 novel of the same name.
The Hours is a haunting psychodrama around the suicide of Virginia Woolf (played by Nicole Kidman) with the death theme running throughout.
