CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion is fabulous. It hydrates well and doesn’t feel greasy.

I found CereVe after reading “Skin moisturizer could reduce risk of disease” from staff at UCSF. The idea is that your skin is your largest organ, so it’s an excellent place to introduce healthful substances. The scientists were interested in using lotion to reduce general inflammation. CereVe is the only lotion I found that contains the essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid they recommend.

This article from the National Institutes of Health explains that lotion with ceramides does a better job hydrating skin: “Skin hydration is significantly increased by a cream formulated to mimic the skin’s own natural moisturizing systems.”

Cereve has an impressive variety of lotions for different skin conditions at reasonable prices. I use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream after bathing because it’s thicker and works well when you’re wet.

After initially using Amazon to source this product, I found a wide variety of CereVe lotions at CVS and Target. Yea!
