Girls Coming of Age: Two Teen Pregnancies and Two Different Stories, Juno and Riding in Cars with Boys

Juno is a thoroughly delightful coming-of-age story about a smart and quirky teen, Juno played by Ellen Page, who seduces her geeky boyfriend and gets pregnant in that quintessentially innocent first fumbling experiment with sex. She does it with the right person, her best friend. Her offbeat family—especially the younger sister—is reminiscent of the characters in Little Miss Sunshine.
